CS Resources and Job Searching Information so that you could stop asking me where I get my information from
I found it quite often repetitive that I had to get the same questions about where I find all this information from for CS related information and job postings from many friends. So this is why I decided to write this. Perhaps this could be the ultimate use case for you to be able to get the resources you need to help you along with your career and the goals that you have in mind.
With internship job postings, the ultimate ones really come down to these three repositories:
You can also check the cscareers.dev discord which has a bot that pulls from the repositories shown above. You can see their postings on the #2021_intern_postings channel. The invite to the discord is here: https://discord.gg/8KpxjeuhFu
For new grad job postings:
I also believe that the cscareers.dev discord additionally has a channel specifically for new grad postings as well under #2021_grad_postings, which hasn’t been updated to 2022 yet.
I would mainly consult the Github repositories as they are the ultimate source of being able to find positions. In addition to those, I also find LinkedIn jobs and Jumpstart quite useful as well. Jumpstart in my opinion has not significantly helped me because I don’t ever think I heard back from the postings I have applied for. LinkedIn jobs require you to narrow the job scope first. I recommend searching for “New grad software engineer” and then “Canada” or “United States” as the location. I found some positions on LinkedIn that I wasn’t able to find on the Github repos. So checking LinkedIn once every week or two would be useful. For the Github repo, I would recommend checking once every day or other day.
Thanks to Philly for this link but you could also checkout positions for Y-Combinator startups as well!
Before all other resources, this Google Docs is the ultimate solution to everything. It basically has everything that you could need for resources on anything.
I recommend this for job searching and understanding the interview and resume process.

Interested in open source and want to contribute? This repo has some good starting points for it.
The Github student developer pack provides excellent resources for accessing paid plans of specific libraries, software, hardware, infrastructure, and tools for development purposes. I was able to get IntelliJ products, servers, and domains without paying a cent. To be able to access these resources, you need to verify that you are a student.
I think that is all I have to share. If there is anything else that really needs to be on here please let me know and I’ll definitely add more stuff below.
